Our Philosophy

What Clean Really Means

Clean has to be Certified Organic. Anything less leaves room for the very toxins you're trying to avoid.

"Natural" and "non-toxic" are easy words to print on a label. Conventionally grown plants can carry residues of synthetic pesticides and herbicides, and that carries straight into the oils and extracts made from them. Certified Organic is how you know it doesn't. That's why nearly every ingredient we use is Certified Organic, and why many of our products carry the USDA Organic seal.

Why We're Different

Fewer ingredients. Better ones.

We believe simpler is better. Instead of long ingredient lists padded with fillers, preservatives and "fragrance," we use a few exceptional ingredients and let them do the work.

01

Certified Organic, not "natural"

Certified Organic ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides and processed without the shortcuts that leave residues behind. If it isn't Certified Organic, we don't call it Clean.

02

Less, but premium

Our tallow balm has three ingredients. Our oils are the costly ones most brands skip or dilute. We'd rather spend on what goes in the bottle than on fillers that stretch it.

03

Made by real people

Every product is handcrafted in small batches by our family. No contract factories and no shortcuts, just the slow, authentic way it's meant to be done.

Beyond the Score

A good rating isn't the same as Clean

Many brands point to a good EWG score as proof their product is clean. But hazard ratings judge an ingredient by its name, not its story. They don't tell you whether an oil was cold-pressed, distilled, or pulled out with a chemical solvent, or whether the plant was grown organically. And a product can still rate well while containing synthetic and petroleum-derived ingredients.

We believe the best ingredients come straight from nature, the way God designed them. By that standard, synthetics aren't Clean at all, no matter how they score.

Whole, Not Isolated

Nature doesn't work in single molecules

A real plant oil isn't one isolated chemical. It carries dozens of compounds and co-factors that work together, the way they were made to. A synthetic copy recreates a single molecule and leaves the rest behind.

The Oils

The precious oils most brands can't justify

Some of the most effective botanical oils in the world are also the most expensive. Many brands use them sparingly, swap in cheaper look-alikes, or leave them out. We build our formulas around them, in certified organic versions.

FrankincenseHydro-distilled, Somalia
HelichrysumThe "everlasting" flower
Hawaiian SandalwoodRare, rich and grounding
RoseAmong the costliest oils on earth
Blue TansyCalming and deeply soothing
LavenderSteam-distilled, France

The one exception: jasmine. We haven't found an organic jasmine that meets our standard, so our jasmine fragrances use the purest jasmine we can source.

Rare by Design

Hard to find, so we made them

We went looking for certified organic versions of the everyday products our family uses and came up nearly empty. So we made our own.
